Basic Elements Oriental Ceramics

For 30 years Maurice and Coralie have been involved with collecting ceramics.  Having purchased his first Chinese pot in 1983, a small Yuan, Qingbai bowl outside Surakarta, sourcing a range of pots has been an ongoing job.

We travel extensively throughout South East Asia, visiting remote areas and buying Vietnamese, Thai, Myanmar and Chinese trade ceramics as well as Madjapahit Terracotta from East Java.  Because we do not buy in China, our items reflect the "Ming Gap".

We have Chinese pots from:

TANG

SONG

Yue Ware

YUAN

QING

Other types of ware are:

Vietnamese Hoi An

Thai Sukhothai, Sawankhalok and Sankampaeng

Myanmar (Burma) Kulen ware and Jayavarman VI period chocolate glaze
